My take on the rainbow goddess, Iris. However, for my work, I took more of her role as Hera's messenger in consideration. Various information may label her as THE goddess of the rainbow, but one thing remains constant: she has a herald staff like Hermes, and the rainbow is the celestial representation of her message.

I've always seen her as young. Inspiration for her looks mostly came from that of Hermione from the Harry Potter books -- someone who gets things right and doesn't twist messages around like Hermes does. I also set her dress to a default white so that she won't disappear into my rainbow (which I had to lighten).

Used pencil, ink, water color pencils and manipulated the rainbow via Photoshop 7.
