It's the first time I've submitted something remotely close to the occasion -- in this case Halloween. Here, we have Col. Roy Mustang and his right-hand woman, 1st Lt. Riza Hawkeye at a Halloween costume ball.
I was about to draw Roy in some Gundam Wing inspired uniform, but I thought that a Tuxedo Mask -- er, I mean -- Phantom of the Opera () get up would be a lot sexier and debonair ... This Phantom... influence also explains my title, taken from the trade-mark theme of the play, "Angel of Music".
This was an attempt at better-ing myself in shading, and a first try at drawing the night sky. And I find that coloring ALL black -- and leather at that -- hurts my arm. But what the hell! I had a lot of fun coloring this one... but Riza's profile looks off. Gotta practice more!
I liked my red and black theme for the two -- so stained and impure and yet burning with such passion. Only darkness and the blue of their uniforms keep them apart.
I've always wanted to draw Lan Fan and Riza in Chii's (CLAMP Chobits) costumes, or any fetish-like maid costumes. I initiallyu wanted to draw Lan Fan & Riza together, but I thought that drawing them with their "masters" would be more suitable.
Very nice and romantic I love the way you colored her hair, too! It's ironic, because I was watching Utada Hikaru's Final Distance MV on Youtube, and it sorta fit the mood while I was looking at this drawing....
Roy's left forearm is a little short and Riza's head does look a little awkward but it's fabulous other than that. I love your idea of Phantom of the Opera; suits Roy so well! Awesome job

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
